Review: MAC "Syrup" lipstick

  As I mentioned in my last post, I just bought my first MAC lipstick! I was going for something pretty natural looking and I chose between "Syrup" and "Blankety". After getting to try Syrup on, it was my pick!

  I love the MAC packaging. It feels very sleek and professional.

  This colour is a darker pink perfect for autumn. It is red-ish too and has a hint of purple. 

  It's quite similar to my original lip tone, so for me it just enhances the colour more and makes it more prominent.

  It's a lustre finish and it goes on really smoothly almost like a lipbalm. It feels really nice and not at all dry on the lips.

  The lasting time isn't super long, but it's not horribly short neither.

  My opinion:

  I really like this lipstick and I feel like it'll be my go-to daily wear. It has a beautiful colour, it goes on smoothly and makes my lips feels soft. 

  The negative is that it is a bit see-through and that it doesn't stay on for too long, although neither of these really dragged down my opinion on the product.

Mini Haul!

Hello Sweet-Tarts and Cutie-Pies! It's so nice to be back! I couldn't stand not having my own design header, it just didn't feel as personal nor fun. So I have now, even though it's not very good or complicated, made my first header for this blog! Hope you can stand it ;)

  Yesterday, my mom and I went shopping! I went to Lush for the first time in my life and bought my first MAC lipstick ever! (I do own the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, so it's my second MAC product ever ;) )

  I also got some super cute clothes, but I won't show them right now.


This will just be my first impression on these products and I'll make sure to do further reviews on them once I've actually used them haha!

  First out is Bath Bomb "Shoot For The Stars" by Lush! The girl in the store told me it would make the bath go night sky-coloured with silver sparkles!
  It smells really lovely and STRONG though not the type of strong that gives you headache, but let's just say you could smell it from outside of the bag.

Next is this lipstick in "Syrup" by MAC. It's a really gorgeous autumn-colour that will actually work as a pretty natural shade for me since it's actually really close to my natural lip color.

"Emily the Corpse Bride" Sketch

Hello lovies! I have been away without computer access for a few days, so that's why I haven't updated :( . 

  So, a few days ago I finished my first real and finished sketch since it's actually done with shadows and not just two colours haha. 

  Not that it's that great, but I thought I'd show you all! 

  Here's my version of Emily from the movie Corpse Bride! I love this movie, just as I like most Tim Burton movies ;)

New Buys!

  Sorry that I haven't updated much the last few days, but I've been so busy trying to choose which High School I want to go to. It's so difficult for me, since I don't want to risk regretting my decision later. Although I know that in the end I'll just have to be brave and take a chance.

  Anyway, a few days ago I went to the store and picked up a few new things!

Adorable purple earrings on the bottom!

  I adore these Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo cream shadows! They are very pigmented, stays put all day and is very easy to work with. The top left ("Permanent Taupe") I had since earlier but I thought it could be included since it's from the same series, the other ones are new (for me ;) ) and they're called "Bad to the Bronze" and "Pink Gold".

The Body Shop's "Almond Hand and Nail Cream". 

This is really great and for sale which is extra good since I would've wanted to buy it anyways.

  It's a white cream but it gets soaked into the skin really fast and doesn't stay sticky for long. It's a great moisutrizer and the AMAZING smell last for hours! =) This will probably be frequently used this winter since cold weather makes my hands super dry.

September Favourites!

Time for my September Favourites! I know it's a bit late, but better late than never ;) I've tried A LOT of new products this months and I've also kept using some older goodies! 

Favourite hair product: I've gone back and forth between different hair products for a while now, but I don't feel like I've found "The One" yet. This might be it! I bought it to try something new and I was so unexpecting that i didn't even get the matching shampoo! Lol. 

  I LOVE this! It makes my hair silky smooth and really lovely. I just got the matching shampoo today so I'm yet to find out if it's as good the conditioner but I'm really excited to try it!

Favourite skin care product: I have two this month! 

First is my I love... Candy Floss. The I love... series probably has the loveliest shower gels I've tried. They all smell really lovely and the smell lasts on my skin for hours and hours and hours... even after workouts sometimes. This particular one is a mini from a set of four called I love... Sweet Candy Treats.

This is a mini version of the HoneyMania Body Butter from The Body Shop's latest Honey Mania collection. 

  The scent is not the sweet honey I expected, but rather flowery. I like it a lot! 

Favourite makeup products:

Lovely lipbutter which smells like candy. It's amazing! I put this on my flaky lips and went to bed and when I woke up my lips were perfectly smooth! 

Beautiful shade. This is L'Oreals Le Blush in "Sandalwood Pink" it gives the perfect pink pop to my cheeks on a moody day! Ah screw it, it's lovely on a happy day too ;)

Best buy: The Body Shop's Blue Corn 3in1 Deep Cleansing Mask!

Worst buy:

I didn't really do my research before buying this, but I got it since I needed a new hair spray. Sadly though, this didn't do much for me. It did help some but I would have to spray sooo much of it to keep all of my hair in place.  

  It's not too bad I guess, just not that good neither.

Review: Maybelline "Hot Plum"

I am a lip-makeup fanatic and since I hadn't gotten a new lipstick in a while I decided to get this gorgeous shade!

  It's Maybelline's Hot Plum.

  Now, I picked this shade because I have been longing for a slightly purple toned lipcolour for quite some time.

  Honestly I was a bit dissapointed by the "pinkness" of this shade, since it didn't really look plummy. 

  It's a darker hot pink and you might sense a little bit of plum in the shimmers.

  But, even if it isn't my perfect plum, it's still gorgeous!

  It's VERY pigmented too and the colour fits me quite nicely. 

  It lasts for a long time and even when the actual lipstick is gone, you can still see the colour on your lips if that makes any sense. 

  This is not one of those hydrating lipsticks and I actually find it a bit drying. It goes on a bit rough and can look slightly cakey.

 But not to worry! Just put on some lipbalm or lipgloss and you'll be fine!

  Like I said, this is a stunning colour and I think I would have loved it more if I hadn't expected the shade to be more purple.  

  I'd give this a 3.5 / 5 ! I would give this a higher score but though the colour is beautiful, it wasn't what I was looking for.

It's... Tuesday-Tag-day! I found this really fun "This or That Beauty Tag" HERE. (The option I chose is written in bold in case you wondered ;) )

MAKEUP...
blush or bronzer: Since I use bronzer to both contouring and as blush sometimes! 
lip gloss or lipstick: This was actually a tough choice but I picked lipgloss because it's easy to just re-apply throughout the day, the risk of it looking cakey and dry is also smaller. You can also option between a clear or a really pigmented lipgloss depending on how risky you're feeling ;)
eye liner or mascara: Although my eyelashes are pretty well defined anyway so I actually don't use eyeliner/mascara every single day. 
foundation or concealer: I usually don't wear foundation but a good concealer is a must-have in my book!
neutral or color eye shadow: Neutral to wear out-and-about but when I'm just playing with makeup at home I would pick color ;) lol
pressed or loose eye shadows: I don't think I've tried loose eye shadow, so pressed would by my choice but I LOVE cream eye shadows as well. 
brushes or sponges: I feel like brushes are more hygenic for some reason since you can actually see all the hairs but you can't see the insides of a sponge. 

NAILS...
OPI or china glaze: Only tried OPI. My own choice would be Essie though!
Long or short: I'm pretty fortunate to have naturally strong nails so they usually get pretty long. 
Acrylic or natural: Natural. 
Brights or darks: Bright colours just inspire me! It doesn't matter if I'm doing a math test or working out, If I look down at my nails and they are bright: I'll probably get happier!
Flower or no flower: Don't really understand the question but if it's about a painted flower on a nail then it's a no ;)

BODY...
perfume or body splash: They usually feel more... I don't know, real?! What I mean is that perfumes' scents usually feels richer. 
lotion or body butter 
body wash or soap
lush or other bath company: Haven't tried Lush despite all of the hype haha. Sometime (hopefully soon?) I will though. The Body Shop is my definite fav for skin!

FASHION...
jeans or sweat pants: I just can't stand the way sweat pants feel. Sorry :S lol
long sleeve of short: Depends on the weather ;).

stripes or plaid: I don't think I own anything plaid actually... hmmm... Time to go shopping! ^.^

Review: Rihanna "Nude" fragrance

  Hello lovelies! Today has been full of trying to study for a test, though I did get a bit distracted at times ;)

Anyway, I thought I'd do a review on my Newest-bought fragrance. It's the Rihanna "Nude" perfume. 

  I usually don't get that many celebrity scents, but this is an exception. (I also love Beyonce's "Heat Rush" which I guess is an exception aswell ;) )

  Scent: As I smelled this perfume directly from the bottle, it didn't seem that great to me and it actually smelled quite strong. But you can't judge a scent from the bottle so I decided to put it on. 

  On my wrist: After spraying it on it does take a while to develop. 

  It's one of those perfumes which I would usually have sprayed on my wrist, walked away only to find about 30 minutes later that something (my wrist) was smelling really good.

  Only not with this one, since I didn't have too much time. Instead I shook my hand back and forth for a few minutes, looking like a fool haha.

  From a too strong scent really, it developed to this really nice, sweet vanilla   yet flowery scent. 

Feel and review: This perfume makes me feel young (which I am so that's a positive haha) and flirty/sweet. 

  This is truly a scent that develops beautifully! Although, there is something in the formula that makes it quite strong so be careful if you are sensitive to that.

  The lasting power is great and it lasts the whole day!

  I'd give it a 3.5 / 5 !

Beautiful Saturday!

I'm so happy it's finally the weekend! Although I've had a busy week and the next one will too, it's still nice to escape the schedules lol.
  Today I went shopping and found A LOT of books and I may do some reviews once they're actually finished (or even begun haha) ;)

To start out the day, me and my mom sat and ate breakfast / read the papers when we heard a sound. Turned out my baby kitten had actually managed to fall into the toilet !!! He had actually gotten up by himself when he got there and it was one of those situations that you laugh at, but that also could have turned dangerous. 

  Oh Well, he got his first swim. 

I got this super cute little flowery tray today, soo GORGEOUS! :O :D

  2. What is your favourite subject in school? I like most of them more or less ;) But maybe languages, history/religion/society and science.

  3. What is your favourite drink? Might seem boring but I like water haha :) And tea of course!

  4. What is your favourite song at the moment? Lorde - The Love Club / Tennis Court.

  5. What would you name your children? Omg, I LOVE names! Lol, I just think they're sooo important and I always have such a difficult time when deciding which one of the many on my lists I should pick for pretty much anything that needs a name. ;)
  I think I would name my children something a bit more "sophisticated" for the first name, like James for a boy and Noelle for a girl. And maybe something more different and original for the second name!

  6. Do you participate in any sports? Not a team sport or anything competitive but Istill like to stay active. Right now I'm doing the Blogilates (youtube.com/blogilates) Sweatember Workout Calendar and I also like spinning, jogging and yoga.

  7. Favourite book? I like classics, like To Kill A Mockingbird. But also girly books, one of my favourite authors is Sophie Kinsella and especially her Shopaholic series and the "I've got your number" book is lovely.

  8. Favourite colour? I love mostly brights because they just make me happy, but I also love pastels and whites.

  9. Favourite animal? There's so many! Maybe hummingbirds, cats and dogs.

  10. What's your favourite perfume? I have lots and I can't say that I've found my perfect scent yet, but I usually wear vanilla based ones.

  11. What's your favourite holiday? Probably Christmas and Easter :)

  12. Have you graduated from High School? Not yet!

  13. Have you been out of the country? Yes! My favourite country to vacay in is France and especially Paris because it's so beautiful and there's SO much to do!
