New Buys!

Sorry that I haven't updated much the last few days, but I've been so busy trying to choose which High School I want to go to. It's so difficult for me, since I don't want to risk regretting my decision later. Although I know that in the end I'll just have to be brave and take a chance.

Anyway, a few days ago I went to the store and picked up a few new things!

Adorable purple earrings on the bottom!

I adore these Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo cream shadows! They are very pigmented, stays put all day and is very easy to work with. The top left ("Permanent Taupe") I had since earlier but I thought it could be included since it's from the same series, the other ones are new (for me ;) ) and they're called "Bad to the Bronze" and "Pink Gold".

Swatches: Pink Gold, Permanent Taupe and Bad to the Bronze.

The Body Shop's "Almond Hand and Nail Cream".
This is really great and for sale which is extra good since I would've wanted to buy it anyways.
It's a white cream but it gets soaked into the skin really fast and doesn't stay sticky for long. It's a great moisutrizer and the AMAZING smell last for hours! =) This will probably be frequently used this winter since cold weather makes my hands super dry.

September Favourites!

Time for my September Favourites! I know it's a bit late, but better late than never ;) I've tried A LOT of new products this months and I've also kept using some older goodies!

Favourite hair product: I've gone back and forth between different hair products for a while now, but I don't feel like I've found "The One" yet. This might be it! I bought it to try something new and I was so unexpecting that i didn't even get the matching shampoo! Lol.

I LOVE this! It makes my hair silky smooth and really lovely. I just got the matching shampoo today so I'm yet to find out if it's as good the conditioner but I'm really excited to try it!

Favourite skin care product: I have two this month!

First is my I love... Candy Floss. The I love... series probably has the loveliest shower gels I've tried. They all smell really lovely and the smell lasts on my skin for hours and hours and hours... even after workouts sometimes. This particular one is a mini from a set of four called I love... Sweet Candy Treats.

This is a mini version of the HoneyMania Body Butter from The Body Shop's latest Honey Mania collection.

The scent is not the sweet honey I expected, but rather flowery. I like it a lot!

Favourite makeup products:

Lovely lipbutter which smells like candy. It's amazing! I put this on my flaky lips and went to bed and when I woke up my lips were perfectly smooth!

Beautiful shade. This is L'Oreals Le Blush in "Sandalwood Pink" it gives the perfect pink pop to my cheeks on a moody day! Ah screw it, it's lovely on a happy day too ;)

Best buy: The Body Shop's Blue Corn 3in1 Deep Cleansing Mask!

Read my review on this HERE

Worst buy:

I didn't really do my research before buying this, but I got it since I needed a new hair spray. Sadly though, this didn't do much for me. It did help some but I would have to spray sooo much of it to keep all of my hair in place.

It's not too bad I guess, just not that good neither.

Random lifestyle favourites

I've became a total junkie of this game haha! Check it out it's so much fun! :D

Favourite song

I had a hard time picking my fave songs of this months since I had many, but here's a few of them:

  • Ellie Goulding -- Burn
  • Ariana Grande -- Piano
  • Selena Gomez -- Stars Dance

Review: The Body Shop "Blue Corn 3in1 Deep Cleansing Scrub mask"

Hello!
This is my first blog post on here so take it easy on me! ;) I will be doing some Random Facts posts or similar to start out this account, if you have any requests or questions just comment down below.

Lately I've wanted to try something that - for me - is completely brand new and not just the same kind of products I've used for years and that does the same thing.
Something that I've heard about and that I've wanted to try for awhile is face masks in a jar. A face mask which is not meant for only 1-2 uses but for multiple.
The Body Shop is usually my go-to for skincare and so I thought I'd try one of theirs first! I chose the Blue Corn kind in particular because it seemed like the one with the best reviews.

Product info:

The product is for Normal/Oily skin and to be used on a cleaned face (not around eyes or on lips) and stay on for about 10-15 minutes (until dry).

Unfortuntely I'm not sure what skintype I have, but I believe it's combination or normal skintype.

The testing:

I've only used this product once this far but I've already gotten results so I thought I'd do a review now. The masks smells nice, but not quite like corn. The smell remind me of flowers with a hint of sweetness to it. It looks light blue with darker grains (for scrubbing).

I washed my face with water only since I didn't have any makeup on previously and then put on the mask.
My first reaction was that the mask was thicker than I had imagined. I did find it a bit hard to put on, but it wasn't at all impossible.

After a while I felt a bit of sting that came back during short periods, but I didn't find it hurtful at all. Rather a bit like massage actually.

I let it stay on for about 18 minutes before washing it off.
I didn't use cotton pads to wipe it away, but used my fingers to really get full use of the scrub. It took about five minutes to get all of the grains away - but it was totally worth it.

The result was clean and fresh skin. It looked newborn and bright! It had this inner light to it that was just amazing. I loved how it made my skin feel and look. It wasn't oily but definitely not dry.

As for pores it did feel like it went deep and did help with acne after one use!

I put on a moisturizer to finish it off.

My rating:

For me the effect of the mask weighed up every single flaw that I have mentioned earlier although those "flaws" weren't too major neither.

It gave me one of best effects that I've ever gotten from a face mask.

I was really happy with it and I do recommend it to anyone curious to try. Although I would be careful with how often I'd use it if I had dry skin since it might dry your skin out a bit if it's used too often.

So far I give it a 4.5 / 5!  Please try it and tell me how you liked it as well! Once I'm finished with the tub I might write a new post about how many uses it lasted, long time results etc.!
